took the dressing off of my leg today. looks like an alien or something huh? the swelling has gone down now that its off but my knee feels less stable 🙁 having to use my crutches today.

practiced using my crutches today even though the dressing is keeping my leg pretty stable. im moving around pretty well today, hopefully it continues! 🙂

went in for knee surgery (lateral release) this morning and as they were prepping me, they wrote on my legs…after they wrote “correct” and “wrong” on my leg, the dr came in and initialed the “correct” leg…good to know they’re gunna get the right one huh?
everything turned out ok 🙂 i cried coming out of anesthesia because i was hurting and my feet were cold. i finally asked for a sock to cover my foot and think i yelled at the nurse when she asked me if i was hurting…go figure 🙂 over all though it wasnt too bad, i wasnt sick or anything and the pain meds seem to be working well 🙂

on the way home from the gym today, i had to stop and wait for big trucks to turn across the road. i have no idea what was on the trucks, but it was HUGE! it took 6 lanes to make the turn across traffic. i dont think you can really tell from the picture, but ah well.

james and i went to outback this evening to spend one of our christmas giftcards (thanks Georgia!) and got dessert. chocolate thunder from down under…doesnt it look awesome?! 🙂

so, i got home from working out this evening and when i sat down to eat dinner i curled my legs up on the chair. spike decided the itty bitty space between me and the side of the chair was a good place to curl up in to. doesnt look very comfortable to me, but whatever works for him….
